A Liberian-flagged ship carrying 52,500 tonnes of wheat procured the wheat on a government-to-government (G2G) basis last September from Ukraine has arrived at Chattogram port.
The cargo ship "Magnum Fortune'' reached the outer anchorage of the port on Wednesday evening for the first time since the Russia-Ukraine started on February 24, an official told reporters on Thursday.
"The ship 'Magnum Fortune' will move to the silo jetty for releasing the food grain after the verification of the sample," said Chattogram District Food Controller Abdul Quader.
Earlier on 13 October, "Silak-2" carrying 52,000 of wheat arrived at Chattogram port from Russia. Another shipment from Russia is in the offing, sources said.
