All commercial banks across the country would stay open from 9:30am to 1pm on Saturday.
Earlier, Bangladesh Bank (BB) asked all banks to continue operations with limited manpower on April 30.
The decision was taken considering the huge volume of transactions from businesses this year, according to a BB circular issued on Thursday.
