Ministry orders 16-year audit of Rajuk activities

The Ministry of Housing and Public Works has directed an internal audit of the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) covering its activities over the past 16 years, from 2009 to 2024.

The audit will review all financial transactions, including income, expenditures, plot and flat allocations, and transfers.

This directive follows decisions made by the ministry’s Budget Management Committee on April 23 and aligns with the internal audit department’s functions and charter of duties.

The internal audit department will prepare an audit plan and conduct the review in accordance with RAJUK laws and relevant regulations. Prior to the audit, the audit team’s members must be reported to the ministry, including their names, designations, and contact details.

RAJUK must be properly informed throughout the audit process, which is to be completed within three months.

Upon completion, the internal audit department will submit a detailed report to the ministry’s secretary.

The ministry announced this in a press release on Sunday.
