The government has set up vigilance teams in all districts to oversee fuel distribution and prevent illegal hoarding.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources said the move is aimed at ensuring fair supply and curbing malpractice in the fuel market.
The ministry also announced rewards for individuals who provide verified information about illegal activities related to fuel storage and distribution.
Citizens have been encouraged to submit specific complaints or suggestions to help authorities maintain transparency and proper supply management.
According to the ministry, a total of 293 drives and mobile court operations have been carried out in 62 districts as of March 27.
These operations led to 78 cases being filed and fines amounting to Tk 315,550.
Officials said mobile court activities are continuing in Dhaka and nearby areas, with regular monitoring in place to address any irregularities.
