The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has unveiled a comprehensive roadmap to address the backlog surrounding the 44th to 48th BCS examinations.
According to the schedule, the final results of the 44th BCS will be announced on June 30, the 48th special BCS on September 22, and the 45th BCS on December 10.
Additionally, the written exam results of the 45th BCS will be published on June 19, the preliminary results of the 47th BCS on September 28, and the written exam results of the 46th BCS by December 18.
To avoid scheduling conflicts, the PSC has stated that if candidates are required to appear for the 45th BCS viva voce and the 46th BCS written exam or the 47th BCS preliminary exam simultaneously, the 45th BCS oral exams will be rescheduled either one month before or after the conflicting exam. This measure is aimed at ensuring that no candidate’s exams overlap.
The PSC emphasized the urgent national need for medical professionals and prioritized the 48th special BCS accordingly.
Following the publication of the related gazette on May 27, the examination notice was issued promptly on May 29. The MCQ-type written exam will take place on July 18, with results to be released on July 21, and the final result on September 22.
Regarding the 47th BCS, the preliminary exam is scheduled for September 19, with the written exam beginning on November 27.
The PSC reaffirmed its intention to follow the regular timeline—two months after the publication of a BCS circular for the preliminary exam and another two months after the preliminary results for the written exam.
The commission noted that the proposed dates may change slightly due to unforeseen circumstances but assured that all efforts will be made to adhere to the roadmap.
Finally, the 49th BCS circular will be issued on November 1, with applications being accepted from that day until November 30.
