Their discussion centered on combatting the proliferation of misinformation through social media platforms.
During the meeting, the Bangladesh Minister of State for Information explored avenues of collaboration with Mauritius in satellite utilization, leveraging technology for expatriate remittances, investment prospects for Mauritian entrepreneurs in Bangladesh, and the welfare of Bangladeshi laborers in Mauritius.
On the same day, Minister Arafat visited a spinning mill in Mauritius to engage with Bangladeshi workers there and gain insights into their working conditions.
Minister Arafat`s visit to Mauritius commenced on April 22 to partake in the inaugural ministerial conference addressing drug trafficking and abuse in the Western Indian Ocean region. He continues his stay in Mauritius to foster bilateral engagements.
