CCTV surveillance made mandatory at HSC exam centres

The Dhaka Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has decided to bring all examination centers across the country under CCTV surveillance ahead of the upcoming HSC and equivalent examinations.

As part of the initiative, detailed information regarding CCTV systems at each center has been requested.

The board has instructed that necessary details, including CCTV camera IDs and passwords, camera brands, and device serial numbers, must be submitted within the stipulated time. The directive has been described as urgent and has been sent to all concerned examination centers.

It has also been instructed to ensure continuous internet connectivity for DVR (Digital Video Recorder) and NVR (Network Video Recorder) systems. All required information must be submitted to the board by June 21.

In a notice signed by Controller of Examinations Professor Jesmin Taslima Banu, it was stated that uninterrupted internet connectivity must be ensured for DVR and NVR systems to facilitate regular monitoring of CCTV operations at examination centers.

The notice further said that centers must send CCTV-related information, including camera IDs and passwords, camera brands, and device serial numbers, via email to dhakaboardcontroller@gmail.com by June 21.

It also instructed that the email subject line should read “CCTV EIIN Number,” with an example format such as “CCTV 888888,” where institutions must use their own EIIN numbers.
