No scope for question leaks, action will be taken against rumors: Education adviser

Education Adviser Professor Dr. Chowdhury Rafiqul (C.R.) Abrar said that there is no chance for dishonest groups to leak questions during the ongoing HSC and equivalent examinations, and warned that action will be taken against those spreading rumors.

He made the statement on Thursday after visiting exam centers at Vasantek Government College and Government Bangla College in Dhaka.

Responding to concerns about question paper leaks, the adviser acknowledged that such fears surface every year but assured that the authorities remain alert, as seen during the SSC exams.

He said strict measures are in place to prevent any breach, and misinformation will be dealt with firmly.

While he did not personally review the question papers, he emphasized that opinions on paper difficulty often vary based on students‍‍` preparation and understanding. The key focus, he noted, is to maintain the standard and integrity of the question papers.

The adviser observed a well-organized atmosphere at exam centers on the first day. Students arrived on time and exams began promptly under close coordination among law enforcement, education officials, and administrative staff.

He also noted that examinees were following health protocols, wearing masks, and maintaining distance. With prior cleanliness efforts in place, he expressed confidence in the preparations against dengue and Covid-19, stating there is no reason for concern.

This year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams started across the country on Thursday, with the first paper being Bangla 1st Paper.

Under the Madrasa Board, Alim students sat for the Quran Majid exam at 459 centers, while technical students appeared in HSC (BM/BMT) exams at 733 centers.

According to the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, 12,51,111 students are taking part in the examinations under 11 education boards, including 9 general ones, at 2,797 centers nationwide. All exams began at 10:00 AM and will conclude at 1:00 PM.
