The severe cyclonic storm "Remal" has moved inland to the north, crossed the coast, and is currently above Koyra in Khulna, according to the most recent BMD advisory.
It will continue to move north and, in two to three hours, gradually begin to produce precipitation, weakening into a cyclonic storm.
The 18th advisory from the Met office this morning stated that the maximum sustained wind speed within 64 km of the severe cyclone center is approximately 90 kmph, with gusts or squalls reaching 120 kmph.
The great danger signal number 10 should continue to be hoisted at Payra and Mongla`s maritime ports.
