Israeli airstrikes across Lebanon have killed at least 11  people, as the conflict with Hezbollah continues to escalate, according to international media reports.

Strikes hit multiple areas on Sunday, including the Jnah neighbourhood in Beirut, where several people were killed and dozens injured near a major hospital, Reuters reported.

Other attacks in Ain Saadeh and southern areas such as Kfar Hatta also caused fatalities, including a child, with total deaths rising to at least 15, according to The Guardian.

The Israeli military has intensified operations in Lebanon since early March, following cross-border attacks linked to Hezbollah. Israeli army chief Eyal Zamir has recently pledged to continue and expand strikes against the group.

The violence has taken a heavy toll, with Lebanese authorities reporting more than 1,400 deaths and over one million people displaced since the escalation began.

Tensions have also risen around key infrastructure, including the Masnaa border crossing between Lebanon and Syria, after Israel warned it could target routes allegedly used for military purposes.

The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon has cautioned that continued fighting near its positions could increase the risk of wider escalation.

The latest developments highlight growing fears that the conflict could spread further across the region, affecting both civilians and critical trade routes.
