Saudi Arabia has issues a warning to visitors and residents not to participate in the next Hajj in 2024 without the required permits.
Saudi authorities, working together with the General Directorate of Passports, have enforced severe sanctions on people caught to have violated the Hajj rules.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah highlighted that it is against the law to perform Hajj without the necessary authorizations and that doing so will result in a fine of BDT 14,63,473, or 50,000 Saudi riyals.
A punishment of up to 50,000 riyals would also be imposed on anyone found transporting pilgrims without the necessary permits.
Foreign nationals found guilty of such offenses will be deported from Saudi Arabia following their six-month prison sentence. They will be prohibited from entering the country for ten years.
In addition, the media will publicly discredit anyone who disobeys the regulations.
