Gas supply was cut off in several areas of Dhaka on Sunday after a pipeline was damaged, officials said.
Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution PLC said the line was damaged on the Gulshan-Badda Link Road, forcing authorities to shut down supply as a safety measure.
The suspension has affected Gulshan, Banani, Baridhara and nearby areas.
The company said repair work is ongoing at the site and steps have been taken to prevent any risk to people and property.
No timeline has been given for restoring the gas supply.
Titas expressed regret for the disruption and asked residents to remain patient while the work continues.
