GOP blocks Paltan intersection demanding ban on JaPa and 14-party alliance

Leaders and activists of Gono Odhikar Parishad staged a blockade at Paltan intersection on Wednesday, demanding justice for the attack on their president, Nurul Haque Nur, the resignation of the Home Affairs Adviser, and a ban on the politics of the Jatiya Party (JaPa) along with the 14-party alliance.

Around 5 pm, party activists brought out a procession from their central office in Bijoynagar and marched toward Paltan, where they staged the blockade.

During the protest, demonstrators were heard chanting slogans such as “JaPa will follow the path already taken by Apa” and “The Home adviser must resign immediately.”

Gono Odhikar Parishad’s Higher Council member Abu Hanif said, “Party activists are deeply angered by the attack on our president Nurul Haque Nur. The Parishad demands that he be sent abroad for advanced medical treatment without delay.”
