Milestone campus sealed off, crash site fenced on three sides

Milestone School and College has restricted entry to its campus following the recent fighter jet crash.

Only students residing in the on-campus hostel are being allowed to enter or leave through the main gate, while all other visitors — including day students, parents, and the general public — are being denied access.

A visit to the site on Wednesday morning revealed that the school’s main gate remains shut, with four security guards stationed inside. Outside the gate, curious students, parents, and onlookers gathered, trying to get a glimpse inside.

Around 11:30 a.m., several students attempted to push their way in, but security personnel firmly barred their entry. The guards also informed visitors that no one is being allowed near the crash site.

In addition to the main gate, all three other campus entrances have also been closed. Only residential students are being allowed to come and go.

Non-residential students and their guardians are not permitted to enter. Later in the day, school authorities called an emergency meeting with teachers. Security guards allowed entry to faculty members only after verifying their ID cards.

Meanwhile, the Haidar Ali building — the structure that was hit by the aircraft — is being fenced off with high metal sheets on three sides. Security personnel said the area is being cordoned off for safety and investigation purposes.
