The International Crimes Tribunal on Monday has sentenced six war criminals to death for committing crimes against humanity in Mymensingh district during 1971 Liberation War.
They are Md Mokhlesur Rahman Mukul, Md Saidul Rahman Ratan, Shamsul Haque Fakir, Nurul Haque Fakir, Md Sultan Mahmud Fakir and Nakib Hussain Adil Sarkar.
The Justice Md Shahinur Islam announced the verdict on Monday.
The probe report was submitted on December 31, 2017.
A charge sheet was filed on July 12, 2018.
A total of six charges were framed against the six people, including murder and rape.
