The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers in different parts of the country over the next five days.
The forecast was issued today (Thursday) in the BMD’s 120-hour weather outlook.
According to the BMD, the monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and remains moderate over the North Bay. Under its influence, some areas of Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet divisions may experience moderately heavy to heavy rainfall.
Many areas of Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, as well as some areas of Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions, may also experience temporary gusty winds accompanied by light to moderate rain or thundershowers.
The BMD said the trend of rainfall is likely to continue across different parts of the country throughout the next five days.
