Accused Chairman Babu temporarily expelled from AL

UP Chairman Mahmudul Alam Babu, accused in the murder of Golam Rabbani Nadim, Jamalpur District Correspondent of BanglaNews24.com, has been expelled from the post of General Secretary of Sadhurpara Union Awami League.

Bakshiganj Upazila Awami League President Shahina Begum and General Secretary Ismail Hossain Talukdar Babul signed the decision of temporary expulsion yesterday. 

According to the notification, a group of miscreants assaulted journalist Gholam Rabbani Nadim, Jamalpur District Representative of BanglaNews24.com and Correspondent of Ekattor Television, at Pat Hati Mor area of ​​Bakshiganj town on June 14 at 10 pm. He was seriously injured in the attack and was first admitted to Bakshiganj Upazila Health Complex and then to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital in a very vegetative state. But it is a matter of great regret that he died last Thursday at 2.45 pm while undergoing treatment. The image of the party has been severely tarnished as your involvement in the said incident has been strongly mentioned in the administration and various media. Previously, as your unorganized activities and misconduct were revealed in various media, you are dismissed from the post of General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League, Sadhurpara Union Branch and temporarily expelled from the organization due to violation of party discipline. You are instructed to submit a reply to the president/general secretary of the Bakshiganj upazila branch within 7 working days of receiving the letter as to why you should not be expelled ‍‍`permanently‍‍` due to a breach of party discipline.

Meanwhile, Chairman Mahmudul Alam Babu and his son are absconding since the murder of journalist Nadim.
