A fire broke out in a multi-storied building at Bata Signal intersection on Elephant Road in the capital. 9 units of fire service and civil defense were working to control the fire which broke out around 7:30 pm on Monday (March, 27).
Fire service control room duty officer, Aktaruzzaman confirmed the matter and said that 3 fire service units reached the spot and started working to control the fire. Later 6 more units joined there.
The duty officer of the fire service control room added, "The fire broke out on the fifth floor of a nine-story building. However, initially, the cause of the fire, damage, and casualties was not reported."
