State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak said the power supply to Dhaka will be restored by 8pm on Tuesday.
He said: "The electricity supply has been restored to Amin Bazar. Hopefully, Dhaka will get regular power supply by 8pm and Chattogram by 9pm today."
He made this statement on his Facebook page on Tuesday afternoon, hours after several parts of Dhaka saw power outage due to national grid failure.
The state minister asked all to keep patience and not to spread rumours regarding the power outage.
