The authorities suspended ferry services of Aricha-Kazirhat route due to dense fog since midnight on Saturday.
The ferry movement in between Aricha -Kazirhat was suspended from 11pm on Friday night and Paturia-Daulatdia from 1am on Saturday.
Commuters waiting to cross the Padma river facing huge trouble.
Ferries were asked to remain at the ghats to avoid any untoward situation, BIWTC Paturia Ghat DGM Shah Mohammad Khaled Newaz said.
Three ferries were stranded in the middle of the river Padma with vehicles and passengers, he added.
