On November 7, the International Monetary Fund will meet with the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission to go over recent capital market issues, including the floor price restriction put in place by the BSEC.
The development of the bond market, risk management and control, compliance infrastructure, and market enforcement mechanisms will also be discussed by the IMF team, according to officials with the finance ministry and BSEC.
They confirmed, BSEC chairman Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam, commissioners and executive officers will attend the meeting.
October 27, the IMF team, under the leadership of chief Rahul Anand, met with various departments within the finance division in a series of sessions.
According to the IMF team's meeting schedule, till November 9 the international lender will meet with several government ministries regarding this.
