The weather department has forecast showers across Bangladesh in 24 hours commencing 9 am on Monday.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions and at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country,” said a Met office bulletin.
Day temperature may rise by 1-2 degrees Celsius and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh.
One of its associated troughs extends up to Northwest Bay. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over North Bay.
