The metro rail authorities suspended the rail services for more than two hours as doused sky lanterns fell on the rail wires following New Year celebrations in Dhaka.
An official from metro rail services, said on Sunday morning, huge number of doused sky lanterns fell on the electrical wires of the metro rail. So, they have kept the operations halted since morning.
However, after two hours the rail services resumed around 10:10am, an official of DMTCL said.
