Two members of a family were in killed as their motorcycle crashed into a stationary truck at Kaugaon on Phulbari road of Dinajpur Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Anwarul Islam, a wood trader living in Balubari locality of the city and his brother-in-law Nazrul Islam.
The truck was parked on the road due to mechanical glitch and the motorbike crashed into it as the biker lost control on it, Kotwali police sub-inspector Shamim Haque said.
The bodies were sent to the morgue of M Abdur Rahim Medical College, he added.
Meanwhile, locals alleged that truck has been stranded on the road for the last three days, disrupting movement of vehicles on the road.
The accident could have been avoided if it was removed in time, they said.
