Sonia Rani Roy, a passenger gave birth to a baby boy at the Agargaon station of Metro Rail.
She gave birth at the first aid center at 9 am on Thursday.
Sonia was travelling to Agargaon from Uttara via metro rail with her husband Sukanto. Later her labour pain suddenly started.
The rail staff took Sonia to the station's First Aid Room. There she gave birth to a baby boy.
Both mother and son are healthy. Now they have been admitted to a hospital.
Sonia’s husband Shukanto said, "I cannot express my gratitude enough. Everyone cooperates soon after the labour pain started."
Sukant Saha, the father of the newborn said that the metro rail authorities arranged an ambulance for me, I’m truly grateful.
