State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury is leading in Dinajpur-2 Constituency (Birol-Bochaganj) with huge votes. Through this, he is going to be elected Member of Parliament for the fourth time since 2008.

In the 12th Parliamentary Election, the total number of votes cast in Dinajpur-2 constituency was 1 lakh 89 thousand 120. Among them, Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury got 1 lakh 73 thousand 912 votes. Independent candidate Anwar Chowdhury Jibon got 10 thousand 359 votes and Jatiya Party`s Mahbub Alam got 4 thousand 849 votes.
