Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has asked Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), Jubo Mohila League, and Mohila Awami League to take preparation for holding the next central council in a short time.
Quader came up with instructions while holding a meeting with Awami Leagues associate bodies at the central party office on Tuesday.
Talking to reporters, he said: “We have instructed BCL, Jubo Mohila League, and Mohila Awami League to hold their central council in a short time. They will get a date soon once Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s schedule is available.”
Earlier on Saturday, Awami League Central Working Committee decided to hold the 22nd National Council of the party in December this year.
The ruling party is gearing up for the upcoming national election in 2023 as it aims to win the 12th parliamentary election to seal a fourth consecutive victory.
