Global K-pop group BTS has officially announced their return, confirming a comeback on March 20, 2026, after almost four years away from group activities.
The date was shared by their agency, BigHit Music, in a post on social media.
This will be BTS’s first full group release since all seven members completed South Korea’s mandatory military service.
“All seven members are back. March 20 comeback confirmed,” BigHit Music said in the post.
Suga was the last member to finish his service in June 2025, serving as a social service worker due to a shoulder injury.
The other six members RM, Jin, Jimin, V, Jung Kook and j-hope served in the South Korean army.
During the break, the members joined the military at different times, which allowed them to work on solo music and personal projects while group activities were on hold.
Last year, BTS had already shared plans for a new album and hinted at a world tour.
They said work on the album would begin in July 2025 and that it would be released in spring 2026.
The group said the new album will reflect the thoughts and ideas of all seven members and that they are working on it with the same excitement they had when they first started.
This will be BTS’s first group album since Proof in 2022. Their last studio album was Be, released in 2020.
