Popular Bangladeshi film actor Pori Moni has recently beaten Argentine football legend Lionel Andrés Messi (Leo Messi) in terms of Facebook video views. Her last Facebook live video was watched by more than 38 million (3 crore 80 lakh) people, which is almost one-fourth of Bangladesh’s current population (170 million).
Whereas Leo Messi’s paid partnership video with Pepsi back in February is the highest viewed video on his verified Facebook fan page. The video, which was a part of PepsiCo’s #ForTheLoveOfIt campaign received only 21 million views. The promotional post was captioned, “I like my Pepsi served with ultimate precision.“
Messi, 34, recently made headlines for leaving Barcelona after his 21-year-long glorious run in the club.

On the other hand, the Dhallywood starlet Pori, whose real name is Shamsunnahar Smrity, became the talk of the nation when she started a Facebook live video from her verified page on August 4 and claimed that many people came to her house and tried to enter forcibly. She claimed in that live video that she informed the local law enforcement several times but they had not arrived to help her.
She locked herself in her room during her sensational Facebook live session. When journalists arrived at the scene it was finally revealed that Bangladesh Police’s elite anti-crime and anti-terrorism unit Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) went to conduct a raid at her home in the capital’s Banani area.
The 31-minute-long Facebook live session received more than 38 million views and was shared more than 154 thousand times, at the time of writing this report. Her Banani home raid drama’s live video is currently one of the most-watched Facebook live videos around the globe.

The live video ended when law enforcement officers finally entered and began the raid in her home. RAB, later on, claimed that a huge score of alcohol and drugs were recovered from the raid. She is currently under investigation on several cases under Bangladesh’s narcotics act.
According to the Guinness World Records website, a 2016 video posted by Candace Payne (USA), aka "Chewbacca Mom", on July 19, 2016, is the highest viewed Facebook live video in the world. The four-minute-long video shows Candace wearing a "Wookiee-talking" Star Wars Chewbacca mask and descending into an uncontrollable laughing fit. The video went viral on Facebook and other social media platforms. It received more than 180 million views to date.
