A court has ordered a trial against actress Pori Moni, accusing her of assault, vandalism, and intimidation in a case filed by businessman Nasir Uddin Mahmood.

Along with this, an arrest warrant has also been issued for the Dhallywood star in a case related to attempted murder.

The Chief Judicial Magistrate Court of Dhaka issued the arrest warrant on January 26, rejecting Pori Moni’s request for more time.

The case began after Nasir Uddin Mahmood, a member of the Boat Club, filed a complaint against Pori Moni in March last year.

The Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) completed their investigation and submitted the report, confirming enough evidence to proceed.

The investigation officer, Md. Monir Hossain, presented the findings in court, setting the stage for the trial.

The Incident at Boat Club: A Night of Chaos

According to the investigation report, the incident took place on the night of June 8, 2021, when Pori Moni, along with her friends Fatema Tuz Zannat Boni and Junaid Bogdadi Jim, visited the Boat Club for a late-night drink.

The group arrived around midnight, with Pori Moni’s white Jeep following behind a black Jeep driven by their acquaintance, Tuhin Siddiqui Omi.

They made their way to the club’s second floor where the drama would soon unfold.

While at the club, Omi offered to treat the group to snacks.

However, Pori Moni surprised everyone by ordering a bottle of Blue Label whiskey, which they quickly finished.

At one point during the gathering, Omi noticed Nasir Uddin Mahmood, a member of the Executive Committee and a founding member of the Boat Club, sitting with two other people at a table 2-3 tables behind them.

Omi then took Pori Moni to introduce her to Nasir Mahmood, after which they returned to their own table and continued drinking and chatting.

A short while later, when Nasir Mahmood and his two companions were about to leave the bar, Pori Moni called out to Nasir Mahmood and said,

"I just arrived, and you‍‍`re already leaving? Sit with us for a bit longer. Let‍‍`s chat for a while."

At Pori Moni‍‍`s request, Nasir Mahmood came back and sat at their table again.

After a while, when they finished their drinks, Pori Moni ordered the waiter to parcel three more one-liter bottles of Blue Label whiskey along with two bottles of wine.

While the waiter was able to parcel the two bottles of wine, he couldn‍‍`t parcel the Blue Label whiskey as it was out of stock.

Pori Moni then asked the waiter to parcel the Blue Label bottle on display.

The waiter informed her that the bottle wasn‍‍`t for sale and that parcels couldn‍‍`t be given to non-members of the club.

However, Pori Moni insisted on taking the bottle and started making a scene at the table.

Becoming agitated, she pulled out her cardholder, showing two or three bank cards, and said,

"Do I look like a beggar? I‍‍`ll pay my bill. I will take it."

At that moment, Fatema Boni, who was with Pori Moni, said,

"If they have a rule that non-members can’t take it, then don’t take it."

Pori Moni then slapped Boni, saying, "Do I look drunk to you?"

When Jim, who was also with Pori Moni, tried to calm her down, she slapped him too.

At one point, Pori Moni became very agitated and began throwing glasses, ashtrays, and small bottles of Perrier off the table onto the floor.

Nasir Mahmood then tried to calm Pori Moni down, attempting to maintain peace and order in the club.

This only made Pori Moni angrier, and she threw an ashtray at him, which hit him on the head above his right ear.

Nasir Mahmood became angry at Ami for bringing Pori Moni to the club and said,

"Why did you bring such an ill-mannered woman to the club? There will be a notice against you tomorrow. Take them out right now."

At that point, Junaid Bogdadi Jim, enraged, came forward and started verbally abusing Nasir Mahmood, punching him two or three times.

Meanwhile, Pori Moni continued throwing glasses around the bar, causing more damage.

One of the glasses hit Nasir Mahmood in the chest, injuring him.

Nasir Mahmood then left the Boat Club. Before leaving, he instructed the security guard working downstairs to ensure that Pori Moni leaves the club.

Despite being asked repeatedly to leave, Pori Moni refused to pay for the drinks and damages.

The group eventually left the club without settling their bill for the whiskey and wine, which totaled 87,650 BDT, plus an additional 20,000 BDT in damages from broken items.

The Legal Battle Continues

Nasir Uddin Mahmood went to the Uttara Crescent Hospital for medical treatment and later filed a formal complaint against Pori Moni, her associates, and the club for their actions.

The PBI‍‍`s investigation supported his claims, leading to the arrest warrant against Pori Moni.

The court will now consider the evidence in the upcoming hearings.

Nasir’s lawyer, Abul Kalam Mohammad Sohel, stated that the allegations against Pori Moni were proven to be true, and the hearing for the case is scheduled for April 18.

This legal battle isn‍‍`t over yet, as Pori Moni’s lawyers plan to fight the charges, while the businessman seeks justice for the violent incident that occurred at the Boat Club.

Meanwhile, the court‍‍`s actions against the actress have shocked her fans and the public alike, as the case continues to develop.
