Ahead to the Awami League event on Thursday, the Jessore district administration has put in place strong security measures as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to attend as the chief guest.
A sufficient number of law enforcement officers have been positioned in the area in advance of the rally.
Around a million people are expected to attend the event, so law enforcement agencies and the district administration began deploying the Rapid Action Battalion's (RAB) canine unit and other security measures on Tuesday.
"The rally would issue message against conspiracy as well as terrorism being perpetrated by the BNP and Jamaat," AL joint general secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim said.
