Eminent actor, playwright, academician and Ekushey Padak laureate Enamul Haque’s departure is an irreparable loss for us but his actions toward making a non-communal Bangladesh will show us the way in future.
State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury remarked after placing a wreath on his coffin at Shaheed Minar on Tuesday.
He said, “Enamul Haque was a pioneer in building a non-communal Bangladesh under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He has nurtured the ideas of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman during his lifetime.”
“He has played an uncompromising role in building Bangabandhu’s ‘Shonar Bangla’ (Golden Bengal),” he furthered.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud, Dhaka University vice-chancellor Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, Gonoshasthya Kendra founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury and others paid their tribute to Enamul Haque.
