Uninterrupted internet service across the country may be slow today. Customers may suffer due to submarine cable maintenance work, Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL) confirmed it on Friday.
The country`s first submarine cable (C-ME-WE-4) system installed in Cox`s Bazar will be maintained at the Singapore end. Due to this, there is a possibility of disruption of internet service for 12 hours from 6 am to 6 pm on Saturday.
According to the notice, the circuits connected through this cable will be partially closed for about 12 hours from 6 am to 6 pm on July 13 for the maintenance work of the consortium at the Singapore end of the submarine cable (C-ME-WE-4) system. Apart from this, the circuits connected through the country`s second submarine (C-ME-WE-5) cable installed in Kuakata will continue as usual.
