On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, advance train ticket sales are starting from tomorrow. Bangladesh Railway has decided to sell tickets in advance for the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha on June 29. Like last time, all tickets for inter-city trains will be sold online. However, there is no opportunity to return the sold tickets.
According to railway sources, advance tickets for this train will be sold in two phases. The sale of tickets for all intercity trains in the western region will start from 8 am. On the other hand, the sale of Eastern train tickets will start from 12 pm tomorrow.
Tickets for June 24 will be available on the first day of advance ticket sales (June 14). Similarly, tickets for June 25, June 26, June 27 and June 28 will be available on June 15, June 16, June 17, June 18 respectively.
Meanwhile, after Eid, return advance tickets might be available from June 22. Thus tickets for 23 June, 24 June, 25 June and 26 June will be available on 3 July, 4 July, 5 July and 6 July respectively.
On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, the railway plans to run a total of eight pairs of special trains. From June 26 until the day before Eid and for five days after Eid, three pairs of special trains will travel on the Chandpur-Chittagong and Dhaka-Dewanganj routes. On the Mymensingh-Chittagong route, two special trains will operate.
Besides, two pairs of special trains will run from Bhairab and Mymensingh to go to Sholakia Eidgah Maidan on Eid day only. Apart from this, two more pairs of special trains will run on Panchagarh and Lalmonirhat routes from Dhaka Cantonment for six days before and after Eid.
