The EC Secretary has confirmed that the upcoming 12th National Assembly elections will be held by ballot in all 300 seats and not by EVM.
The meeting of the commission started at 10:30 am under the chairmanship of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal at the Agargaon election office in the capital on Monday (April, 3).
The twelfth national parliament election will be held in December this year or in the first week of January 2024. Before this, the election schedule will be announced in November.
Last month, the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Kazi Habibul Awal said, "With the capacity of the EC, it will be possible to conduct electronic voting machines or EVMs in 50 to 80 seats in the next parliamentary elections."
The EC secretary clarified that the upcoming parliamentary elections, voting will be done through ballot in 300 seats.
