"The globe is undergoing a critical period, and Bangladesh is not an exception and immune to its effects. Therefore, well-reasoned viewpoints must safeguard the safety of the citizenry and sustain the country's growth and wealth in order to propel the nation forward "She said.
This morning, the prime minister addressed the National Digital Security Council at her official residence, the Ganabhaban.
Sheikh Hasina also emphasized the need to educate the public, especially about cybercrime, so that they know how damaging it is to individuals, families, communities, and the state.
Even if advancements in science and technology possess both positive and negative aspects, no country can grow without them, according to the prime minister.
"Therefore, science and information technology research is crucial for us. Without research, no country can flourish "She added furthermore.
The prime minister stated that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, realizing the importance of science and technology, as well as education on agriculture, industry, and technical subjects, for the country's advancement, had taken the necessary steps immediately following the country's independence.
