The entire country is at a standstill in the violence and non-cooperation program surrounding the anti-quota movement. In such a situation, the government has issued an indefinite curfew from 6pm on Sunday.
Sharif Mahmud Apu, Senior Information Officer of the Ministry of Home Affairs, confirmed the matter in a press release on Sunday.
It comes as Bangladesh saw at least 12 deaths till Sunday afternoon.
On Saturday night, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said curfew will remain relaxed from 6am to 9pm in Dhaka, Narayanganj, Gazipur and Narsingdi districts while local administrations of other districts will take decision on curfew about the concerned districts.
The government enforced a nationwide curfew on July 19 amid escalations centering on the natronwide quota reform movement.
