Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser of the interim government, has left Dhaka for Azerbaijan to take part in an important climate conference.

He flew out of the capital on Monday (November 11) on a Bangladesh Airlines flight, heading to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

Before his departure, the Chief Adviser‍‍`s press secretary, Shafiqul Alam, shared that Dr. Yunus will be in Azerbaijan from November 11 to 14 for the official visit.

At the climate summit in Baku, Bangladesh—one of the countries most affected by climate change—will speak up about its concerns and the need for global support.

Dr. Yunus will also highlight how climate change is causing serious damage to Bangladesh and the challenges the country is facing.

During his visit, Dr. Yunus will not only attend the conference but also speak at various climate-related discussions and meet with key leaders and experts from around the world.

Dr. Yunus took office as the leader of the interim government on August 8, just days after the fall of the previous government, following a major student protest.

His trip to Azerbaijan follows his first official trip abroad in September, when he attended the 79th United Nations General Assembly in New York.
