Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has sought 5-day remand in a narcotics case filed with Banani police station against actor Porimoni who is now in custody.
CID inspector Golam Mostofa who is also the investigation officer of the case filed a 5-day remand plea with Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate court on Wednesday. Court fixed Thursday to conduct hearing.
Defence lawyer Nilanjana Rifat Surovi confirmed the matter to media.
Earlier, court fixed August 18 to conduct hearing on bail plea filed by detained actor Porimoni.
Her lawyer Mujibur Rahman filed the plea on August 16 the Dhaka CMM court.
The sensation was nabbed during a raid of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on August 4. Huge amount of foreign liquor and other substances of narcotics were recovered from her residence.
