Commitment to duty and country: Army Chief’s powerful message to troops

Army Chief General Waker-uz-Zaman called on the members of the Bangladesh Army to be fully committed to their duties and ready to lay down their lives when required to serve the nation. 

Speaking at the Colonel of the Regiment ceremony at Rajshahi Cantonment‍‍`s Parade Ground on Thursday at 9:30 AM, the Army Chief emphasized the importance of dedication and sacrifice.

General Waker-uz-Zaman shared that the Infantry Regiment has carried out its responsibilities with pride and honor since 1971. 

He further assured the troops that, like other regiments in the army, the Infantry Regiment will continue to be modernized to ensure its readiness for the future. 

He promised increased supplies of advanced weapons, machinery, and ammunition to strengthen the regiment‍‍`s capabilities when necessary.

The Army Chief urged every soldier in the regiment to undergo the latest training so that they can face the challenges of the 21st century with confidence and preparedness.

Before the ceremony, General Waker-uz-Zaman personally inspected the parade, and after delivering his speech, he received the ceremonial salute from the soldiers. 

The brief but significant ceremony ended with the Army Chief meeting with the soldiers in a gathering.
