A gradual fall in both daily fatalities reported and in infection rates indicate an improving Covid-19 situation in the country.
In the last 24 hours, Bangladesh reported 26 fatalities from coronavirus. With this, the tally of Covid-19 deaths in the country has reached 27,277.
1,562 fresh cases were also reported during the same period. With the latest development, the tally of Covid-19 cases in the country has reached 1,545,800.
Meanwhile, 1,603 more patients recovered from the infectious disease through treatment at home and in hospitals, taking the tally of recoveries to 1,504,709.
The figures were recorded between Monday and Tuesday morning.
The latest Covid-19 situation in the country was revealed by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in its routine daily statement.
