Decision on SSC and HSC examination will be announced on Thursday (July 15), said Education Minister Dipu Moni.
The Education Ministry disclosed the matter through a press release on Wednesday (July 14).
Usually, the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination is held in February every year while the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination is taken in April. However, the tests were postponed as all educational institutions have been remaining closed since March 17 last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Authorities extended general holiday at all educational institutions till July 31.
The number of casualties and infection has skyrocketed in recent days across the country leaving this year’s SSC and HSC examinations amid uncertainty.
Ministry sources said, government is planning to dwell on an alternative system to ‘Auto Pass’ system which education boards followed to conduct previous year’s examination.
