Bangladesh Railway has suspended three of its employees, regarding yesterday's accident of Sonar Bangla Express.
Shariful Alam, deputy chief information officer of the Railways Ministry confirmed the matter.
The employees are Abdul Quader, a guard; Jasim Uddin, the train's locomaster; and Md Mohsin, assistant locomaster of the train.
Last night, the Sonar Bangla Express, which was headed for Dhaka, collided with a mail train at Nagalkot of Cumilla causing seven compartments and the locomotive to overturn.
According to Jashim Uddin Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of the Laksham Railway Police Station, at least 30 persons suffered injuries, and five of them were in critical condition.
