Dhaka Road Transport Owners Association said that no additional fare can be charged on Eid in the name of Eid tip. The decision was taken by the organization in an urgent meeting on organizational preparations and to-do's on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The meeting was held at the organization's central office on Sunday. The meeting was presided over by the general secretary of the organization, Khandaker Enayet Ullah. It was attended by the chairman, MD, all route owner associations, leaders of labor unions of about 120 transport companies of Dhaka.
It was decided in the meeting that no extra fare will be collected from the passengers in the name of unemployment allowance or Eid gratuity of the workers. Moreover, no vehicle without fitness can be sent to reserve outside Dhaka.
