Hajj registration time extended for the eighth time as the quota was not met. The registration period has been extended till April 11.
On Thursday (April, 6) a notification was issued from the Ministry of Religion.
As per the latest extension, the registration period was supposed to be ended on Wednesday. But there are still about eight thousand pilgrims left to register to fulfill the quota. In this situation, the registration period for Hajj has been extended.
The deadline for Hajj registration for government management and private management has been extended till April 11. Pre-registration series is open for registration in both public and private management. The Ministry said that there is an opportunity to go to Hajj by pre-registration in both the managements.
Hajj will be held on 27th June (9th Zilhaj) this year. According to the Hajj agreement with Saudi Arabia, 127 thousand 198 people from Bangladesh will be able to perform Hajj this time. Out of this, 15 thousand people will get the opportunity to perform Hajj under the government management and the remaining 112 thousand 198 people under the private management.
From May 21, the first flight with pilgrims will leave for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. A flight named BG 3001 will leave Dhaka from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on May 21 with pilgrims. The flight shall land at Jeddah Airport at 7:30am local time.
