ICC World Cup 2023: Bangladesh chooses to field first against England

In their second match of the ICC World Cup 2023, being held in Dharamsala, Bangladesh has chosen to bowl first against England. 

The Tigers have made one change in the playing XI, opting to rest Mahmudullah Riyad and bring in Mahedi Hasan.

Bangladesh secured a convincing victory in their opening match against Afghanistan, winning by six wickets.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz led the charge, excelling with both bat and ball. He claimed three wickets and then went on to score 50 while batting at number three.

Shakib Al Hasan also made significant contributions with the ball, taking three wickets to limit the Afghans to a below-par total.

While Bangladesh started the World Cup with a win, England, the current world champions, lost to New Zealand in the World Cup opener in Ahmedabad.
