Sarjis Alam, the General Secretary of the July Martyrs’ Memorial Foundation, has promised to take to the streets once again if necessary to fight against those he holds responsible for the deaths of the martyrs.
In an emotional statement, he said that he is ready to risk his life for the cause.
On Saturday morning, Sarjis was speaking to the media before attending an event in Chattogram where cheques were distributed to 105 families of martyrs from the region.
"The killers are coming back, rewriting their stories. I’m ready to take to the streets again and even give my life if that’s what it takes to stop them," Sarjis said firmly.
He also had harsh words for those who invoke Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s name in their actions.
“We must find those who are using her name for their own agenda. And we will ensure that the murderer Hasina is hanged,” he added.
Sarjis Alam didn’t stop there. He spoke out against the police and the ruling party’s supporters, accusing them of firing on protesters during past movements.
"These people are pathological killers. They must also be brought to justice," he said.
The event took a deeply emotional turn when Sarjis Alam and Mir Mahabubur Rahman shared a heartfelt moment with the families of the martyrs.
Many of the relatives broke down in tears, and Sarjis and his colleagues promised to always stand by them in their ongoing fight for justice.
The scene was filled with raw emotion as the families vowed to keep the memory of their loved ones alive.
The struggle for justice continues, and Sarjis Alam’s determination remains unshaken.
