Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) increased the price of gold at the end of last month. In the middle of this month, the price of gold increased to a record amount by 7 thousand and 698 taka. The current price of gold per bar stands at 98 thousand and 794 taka. Earlier it was 91 thousand and 96 taka.
This was informed in a press release signed by MA Hannan Azad, Chairman of BAJUS Price Determination and Price Monitoring Committee on Saturday (March 18).
The new price will be implemented from Sunday (March 19).
BAJUS said that the decision to raise the price of gold was made as a result of the rise in bullion market prices.
The new price sets down that 22 carat gold would cost 98 thousand and 794 taka.
Besides, the price of 21 carat gold is 94 thousand and 303 taka, 18 carat is for 80 thousand and 832 taka and the purchase price of traditional gold is 67 thousand and 301 taka.
