Amid escalating chaos followed by the quota protests, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday evening held a view-exchange meeting with the Vice-Chancellors of public and private universities, teachers and college principals at Ganabhaban in Dhaka.
The meeting started at around 8:15 pm, said sources at PM’s press wing.
It comes as Coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement announced their one-point demand of the government`s resignation after rejecting the call of sitting with the government.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said “I want to sit with the protesters. I want to listen to them. Ganabhaban’s gates are always open for them.”
The premier also met the central leaders of the Peshajibi Samannay Parishad at Ganabhaban.
