Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina sent a condolence letter to her Nepali Counterpart, Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda on the recent earthquake demolitions in Nepal, said a statement shared by A.B.M. Sarwer-e-Alom Sarker, Assistant Press Secretary to the PM.
She wrote in the signed letter, “I am deeply shocked and saddened to learn about a devastating earthquake that has taken so many precious lives and left scores of people injured in Nepal.”
Sheikh Hasina also mentioned, “The people of Bangladesh join me in expressing their solemn grief to the friendly people of Nepal. We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families who have lost their dearest family members and their friends. We sincerely pray for the early recovery of those injured in the earthquake.”
Bangladesh’s Prime Minister reiterated that the people of Bangladesh always stand by the people of Nepal with the spirit of as usual brotherhood and fraternity during this trying time, the statement added.
